PURSE POWER – MARCH 30TH –  6:30pm-8:30pm

Purse Power in Gaston County is Women United’s signature event. Purse Power started with the idea that the combined efforts of women can change our community for the better. Since it was started in 2011, Purse Power has been used as a platform that unites women in our county with the causes that they care about most.

The proceeds from the March 30, 2023 event will go to Dolly Parton Imagination Library.  United Way of Gaston County has been the DPIL affiliate since 2004, UWGC has partnered with DPIL to place an age appropriate book in the homes of Gaston County Children from birth to age 5. $150 will enroll a child in the program. Our goal is to keep the 1,209 currently enrolled children in the program and to enroll the 200 children that are on the waiting list.  To achieve this our goal is $30,000.

This event is a fabulous lady’s night out with a purpose!  Designer purses are combined with gift certificates, and more from local vendors to put together a very appealing package to be raffled off throughout the evening. In addition to locally donated items and purses, we also have a group of exceptional designer purses that are put into a Silent Auction.

I would like to respectfully ask you to help us make a difference for this year’s event by donating a purse, a gift certificate or a product to enhance our purses.

Thank you for your support,
